I love reading Wil Wheaton's stories about his life. I can't remember which book I read first, Just a Geek or Dancing Barefoot (which I wrote a bit about a couple months ago in a Sunday Salon post), but I always find myself connecting with what he has to say.

I'd heard Wil read one story from this book at a convention. That one story was so full of joy and reminded me so much of what it was like to be a kid that I had to pick up his book.

Those charming stories remind me a lot of James Kochalka's American Elf Sketchbook Diaries, not in form or content but in the way they make me want to turn inward and savor some of the own moments of my life. Wil's a talented writer with a lot of heart.
