For people not familiar with the wonderful world of UNIX, the tips and tricks contained in this book would be super helpful. Everything from checking your mail in the terminal to regular expressions to shellscripting is covered someplace in here.

I bought this for my husband's personal library. He had checked this out of the library and enjoyed it so much, I was in fear of a large book fine if I didn't just go out and get one for his very own.

This book is great for beginners and as a reference. I use it all the time, since it explains things in an easy fashion way.
